Little Mouse House...shhhh, baby is sleeping

Well, it is finally done. The concept for this little house began over 6 months ago, with a friend of mine from Lake Charles LA. Susan is her name, she is my GalPal/ Sister Egger friend.We were both working on our own eggs and consulting each other for ideas, consulting is a nice word, we were really picking each others brains for ideas...lol. Needless to say, she finished hers, and my egg was put on the shelf as other eggs came first. Then last week I thought it was time to finish her up, so between and betwixed the "Balloon" egg, I worked on this one too.

It is a large goose egg, with a real giant acorn top. The inside has yellow glittier, the outside is handpainted to resemble wood shingles. I placed flowers, birds, butterflies and a finch egg on the base. Inside is a hanging cradle with a baby mouse from Hallmark Collections. This is a OOAK creation and not for sale.

Spring Is In The Air Balloon #1

My latest creation is this beautiful "Hot Air Balloon" made from a large goose egg. Total time from start to finish was 96 waking hours and at least that much of dreaming about the results. The basket was cut from the eggs pointy egg, and I added flowers in the basket to go with the sping theme. The egg is hand painted and rhinestones added for bling.
